Sadhana Indian Waldorf kindergarten Association held its first Regional meeting in Bangalore to meet, greet and interact with all the Waldorf teachers and school heads of the southern region.
This meeting was held at Prakriti Waldorf Kindergarten, Indiranagar Bangalore on November,10 2019; from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm. The core members of Sadhana – Sucheta, Apeksha, Preeti , Jyotsna and Latha attended the meeting in Bangalore.
The regional meeting was well attended by the local kindergarten heads and teachers of Prakriti , Promise centre, Inbloom, Chigru, Tulasi Kindergarten, Knotty feet- A new initiative, Bangalore Steiner school ,kingdom of childhood. The others who attended the Meet included the Lokha school from Tirupur, Dharwad, Tatwa school from Chennai, Indra dhanu Chennai, Yellow train from Coimbatore and few independent candidates Kanika and Preeti. There were a total of about 30 individuals present at the meeting.
The intention of the core group; for such a initiation was to provide a platform for the exisiting Waldorf kindergartens to share, and discuss the challenges and their achievements with each other. Sadhana also met a few new and upcoming kindergarten heads and teachers in the southern region with the intention of guiding them in the Steiner philosophy and other essentials required to function as a Waldorf kindergarten.
The program started with lamp lighting, reading a Steiner verse, followed by a song. There was a quick round of introduction of all the teachers and school Heads. Each of the Sadhana members presented the following topics : History of Sadhana association, power point presentation of Iaswece, Foundation course and other Trainings available through Sadhana, Certification Process, Requirements to be a Waldorf Kindergarten, Mentoring through Sadhana and open Forum where doubts and questions were clarified by Sadhana members.
The meeting went well past the scheduled time and group disbursed seeking regular regional meetings. The core members met one on one with a few individuals who were interested in being part of the train the trainer program.
The opportunity of the core members getting together was also used for a Sadhana official core member meet. The minutes of the same has already been sent in by Jyotsna.
